Training Instills Confidence

Confidence Reflects Training

Hello and welcome to Gun Training USA.  We are all about training, education and building the confidence you need to use your firearms for sport and self defense.

Today more than ever, people are seeking out handgun training in order to obtain a Concealed Carry Weapons permit.  The thought process of many is to acquire the permit before the gun laws change.  So they go through the basic gun safety training and obtain the permit.  Now what?

There is a false sense of confidence that comes over many new permit owners. Just because a person has a permit does not mean they have the necessary expertise to physically and mentally prepare to defend themselves, their loved ones, or the innocent victims they may encounter.

At first, they feel clumsy in their approach to carrying a concealed handgun.  They feel as though there are a thousand eyes on their handguns no matter how cleverly or completely they are concealed.  They may also not be comfortable with the thought that they may have to one day actually use their handgun for defense knowing that someone may lose their life in that action.  They may also have grave concerns of having to live with the aftermath of the decisions and actions they execute.  These are all confidence issues which must be overcome if they are going to continue to carry concealed.

Gun Training USA strives to address each of these concerns by providing the educational and practical training needed to overcome these doubts.  It is a proven fact that training instills confidence.  You must train to fight because in a gun fight you will fight the way you have been trained.  It is not enough to view a video, watch a television program, or speak with someone who has been there.  You have to understand what is, learn certian techniques and then practice them to build upon your skill level and improve your confidence in your own abilitiy - and you must do this continually.

It is by practicing what you learn that you gain the necessary confidence you need.  Anyone who does not practice regularly is putting themselves and their loved ones at a severe disadvantage when the time comes to deploy defensive measures.  You owe it to yourself and the people you care about to make sure you can use your handgun effectively, efficiently and without hesitation when that dreaded situation is suddenly upon you.  And if that time  does come, it is your training and that level of confidence in your abilities that can save a life including your own.

Pistols & Holsters

Choosing a Conceled Carry handgun is not something that can not be done quickly.  There are hundreds of handguns out in the marketplace.  There are also many handgun calibers to choose from.  What is right for one person may not be right for another.  There is only one sure way to settle on a handgun - you need to shoot it.

It is not enough to visit a gun shop and hold the handgun in your hand. While  you can get a feel for the gun's size, weight and grip thickness is, the only true way to determine if the handgun is right for you is to actually shoot it.

Every shooter is different and hand sizes vary.  In order to be sure your selection will work for you, you need to fire it before you buy it.  That is usually not as easy as you would think because not many, if any gun stores will have the facilities or the willingness to allow you to do that.

At Gun Training USA, you can shoot a number of handguns in different calibers during our training programs.  This will allow you to quickly determine what the best handgun and caliber is for you before you buy.  Taking advantage of this option will save you time, money and prevent you from having an arsenal of guns you will seldom use.

Once you have decided on a handgun, your next step is to decide on a holster.  Once again, this opens the door on an entirely different subject which greatly depends upon the size of the wearer, the clothing worn, the seasons and the situation.  I have never seen any gun owner with only one holster.  Most have a box of them.  As the above situations change so does the holster selection.
